Meet Naomi

NAOMI POLIN ~ Principal/Founder

I’m an equity-oriented strategist and facilitative leader with deep experience in the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors.

I work to advance positive social change through my consulting practice, Orchid Root Strategies. I also write and teach on philanthropy and social impact strategy.

My work draws on two decades of experience solving complex problems with executives and teams in the fields of social justice, inclusive economic development, health equity, and human rights.

Creative, curious, and values-driven, I find joy in connecting dots, embracing nuance, building relationships, and bringing good ideas to life.

I collaborate with local, national, and global foundations, nonprofit organizations, networks, and coalitions mobilizing constituencies to advance immigrant and refugee rights and inclusion, racial and gender justice, and a culture of belonging.

The work I love to do centers on strategic planning, program development, stakeholder engagement, capacity building, and strategic communications to:

  • Strengthen organizations in all lifecycle stages and in times of transition;

  • Unlock resources to enhance impact;

  • Shift imbalances of power; and

  • Increase trust and collaboration to drive systems change.
